The EndoGusto Library is your central place to build reusable workouts you can assign to any athlete at any time. You can create a workout from scratch directly in the Library, then manage it from the workout list without leaving the page.
This guide walks you through creating a new workout, editing it, and duplicating, moving, or deleting a workout from your Library.
Create a Workout from Scratch
Step 1: Open the Create New Menu
Go to Library in the top navigation bar and make sure the Workouts & notes tab is selected. Click "+ Create new" in the top right corner. Hover over Workout to reveal a submenu, then click the sport: Running, Cycling, Swimming, or Strength. (The same menu also offers Note, Training plan, and Folder.)
Step 2: Select the From Scratch Tab
A workout creation modal opens with two tabs at the top: "From library" and "From scratch". Click "From scratch" to build a new workout from the ground up.
Step 3: Name Your Workout and Set the Category
In the Name of the workout field, type the name for this workout. This is the name your athletes see when it's assigned. Click the Category dropdown and pick the category that fits.
Step 4: Configure Metric, Zone Method, and Optional Fields
Use the Metric dropdown to choose how intensity is measured: Heartrate, Pace, or Power, depending on the sport, with RPE available where a zone-free option makes sense. Use the Zone method dropdown to pick the zone model, or click "+ Set custom zones"; see How to Set Up Custom Training Zones.
If needed, set Gradient (%) and Elevation (m), and use the Workout instructions field for general notes the athlete will see.
Step 5: Add Your First Step
Click "+ Add step" at the bottom of the modal. A step row appears with these fields:
Type: Warm up, Work, Cool down, Rest passive, or Rest active.
Duration: enter the step length in hours, minutes, and seconds, or click Distance to define the step by distance instead.
Intensity: how intensity is set for this step, for example zones or Fixed values.
Lap button press: switch on if you want athletes to advance to the next step manually on their device.
Step 6: Set the Zone Range for the Step
When you pick a zone-based intensity, two more dropdowns appear: Min zone and Max zone. Select the range that applies to this step. The bottom bar of the modal updates live with the step count and total workout duration.
Repeat Steps 5 and 6 for each step. Click "+ Add step" each time you need a new row, or "Add repeat" to group steps into an interval block.
Step 7: Save the Workout to the Library
When all your steps are configured, click "Save to library" in the bottom right corner. The modal closes and your new workout appears at the top of the Library list with its name, creation date, and step count.
Edit a Saved Workout
To update a workout after saving it, click its name in the Library list. The same modal reopens with all your settings pre-filled. Make your changes and click "Update workout". Workouts already assigned to athletes from an earlier version keep the version they were assigned with.
Duplicate, Move, or Delete a Workout
Step 8: Open the Workout Options Menu
Find the workout in the Library list and click the ⋯ button on the right of its row. A menu appears with three options:
Duplicate workout: creates an identical copy at the top of the list, so you can build a variation and save it under a new name.
Move to folder: hover to see your folders, then click one to move the workout into it. The workout leaves its current folder; each workout lives in one folder at a time.
Delete from library: removes the workout from your Library.
Click the option you need.
Tips for Coaches
Name workouts clearly from the start. A name like "Continuous Run 20 min, Z2" saves time when you're searching the Library to assign workouts later.
Use Duplicate to build variations. Duplicate a base workout first, then adjust zones or duration in the copy. Your original stays intact.
Build the full structure before setting zones. Add all steps with the right types and durations first, then go back and set intensity. It's easier to see the workout's shape that way.
Use the Distance toggle for pace-based workouts. With Metric set to Pace, switch the duration field to Distance to define steps in kilometers or miles.
Keep the Library tidy with folders. Group workouts by sport, block, or athlete so assigning stays fast; see How to Create a Library Folder. To assign a saved workout, use the "From library" tab or the library panel on the Calendar; see How to Create and Assign Workouts from the Calendar. For strength sessions built from the Exercise Library, see How to Create Strength Workouts.
