How to Create a Library Folder in EndoGusto

Learn how to create a Library folder in EndoGusto, move workouts and saved notes into it, and filter your Library by folder to find sessions faster.

Written by EndoGusto Support

Your EndoGusto Library stores every workout you build, and every note you save, in one place. As that list grows it helps to group things together. With a Library folder you can organize workouts and notes by sport, training block, athlete, or any system that fits your coaching. You create folders from the Library and move items into them whenever you want.

This guide walks you through creating a Library folder, adding workouts to it, and filtering your Library by folder.

Create a New Library Folder

Step 1: Open the Create New Menu

Go to Library and stay on the Workouts & notes tab. In the top right, click "+ Create new", hover over Folder, and choose Workout. (The Training plan option in the same submenu creates a folder on the Plans tab instead.)

Step 2: Name and Create the Folder

The New folder dialog opens with a Folder name field. Type a name, then click "Create folder". To close the dialog without creating anything, click "Cancel".

Step 3: Find Your New Folder

Your folder appears in the folder list below the default EndoGusto Workouts folder. A new folder starts empty and shows "0 items" next to its name. Click the arrow on the left of the folder row to expand it.

Add Workouts to Your Folder

Step 4: Open the Add Workouts Option

Click the ⋯ menu on your folder's row. The menu shows three options: Add workouts, Rename folder, and Delete folder. Click Add workouts.

Step 5: Select Workouts and Add Them

The Add workouts dialog lists your workouts, each with a checkbox. Check every workout you want to move into the folder. Use the Search workouts and notes field or the All Sports dropdown at the top to narrow the list.

As you select, the button updates with the count, for example "Add 3 workouts". Click it to move the selected workouts into your folder. To exit without moving anything, click "Cancel".

Filter by Folder

Once your folder exists, view only its contents with the folder filter. Click the All folders dropdown at the top of the Library. It lists All folders, No folder, EndoGusto Workouts, and every folder you've created. Select a folder to show only what's inside it. The same folders appear in the library panel on the Calendar, so you can filter there too when assigning; see How to Create and Assign Workouts from the Calendar.

Notes Live in Folders Too

Folders aren't only for workouts. When you write a note on the calendar you can save it to the Library, and saved notes sit in the same folders as workouts: pick a folder when you save, or move the note between folders later from the Library, exactly as you would a workout. Library notes can be assigned back to any athlete's calendar, and the search field matches note titles and text. Folder counts include notes, and deleting a folder treats the notes inside it the same way as the workouts.

Tips for Coaches

  • Moving a workout does not copy it. When you add a workout to a folder, it moves out of its previous folder. Each workout lives in one folder at a time, so you won't end up with duplicates.

  • Group by how you coach. Folders work well for organizing by sport, training block, race prep, or athlete group. Pick a system you'll recognize at a glance.

  • Rename or delete anytime. The same ⋯ menu on the folder row lets you rename or delete a folder later, so you're not locked into your first setup.

  • Use the folder filter to work faster. Filtering the Library by a single folder cuts down scrolling when you're assigning from a large collection.

  • Keep reusable guidance next to the sessions it belongs to. Save a pre-race checklist or a recovery-week note to the same folder as that block's workouts, so everything for the block is in one place. For building the workouts themselves, see How to Create, Duplicate, and Delete Workouts in the Library.
