How to Create Announcements in EndoGusto

Learn how to create announcements in EndoGusto to message all your athletes or selected groups at once, with formatted text and file attachments.

Written by EndoGusto Support

Announcements let you post messages that your athletes see directly in their EndoGusto feed. You choose who receives each post: all your athletes at once, or specific groups and individuals. You can also format the text and attach files to any post.

This guide walks you through creating an announcement and choosing who can see it.

Create an Announcement

Step 1: Open Announcements

Click Announcements in the main navigation bar at the top of the page. The Announcements feed opens with every post you have published so far. Each post shows its audience label, for example, All athletes or a group name, next to your name.

Step 2: Start a New Post

Click "Add new post" in the top right corner. The Add new post modal opens with a Message field and a formatting toolbar above it.

Step 3: Write Your Message

Click inside the Message field and type your announcement. Use the toolbar for bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, links, images, and bulleted or numbered lists. The "Publish post" button activates as soon as you type at least one character.

Step 4: Attach Files

To include a file, click "Choose files" in the attachment area below the message and select the file from your device. The file name appears in the attachment area once it uploads. You can attach files to any post, whatever audience you choose.

Step 5: Open Share Settings

Click Share Settings below the attachment area to expand the audience options:

  • All athletes (selected by default): shares the post with every athlete on your roster now, plus any athlete you add later.

  • Custom: lets you choose specific groups or individual athletes.

To reach your whole roster, leave All athletes selected and skip to Step 7.

Step 6: Select Groups or Athletes

Select Custom to open the Groups list, then check the group or groups you want to include. You can select several groups at once.

When you check a group, a panel opens on the right with the group name, an athlete count (for example, Team Kostas (5/5)), a Search athletes... field, and a checkbox for each athlete. Every athlete in the group starts selected. Uncheck a name to leave that athlete out, or click "Deselect All" to clear the group.

Step 7: Publish the Post

Click "Publish post". The modal closes and your announcement appears at the top of the Announcements feed. The audience label next to your name shows who received it: the group name for a Custom post, or All athletes for the default.

What Your Athletes See

Athletes see your announcement in their EndoGusto Announcements feed as soon as you publish it. The post shows your name, the time you published it, and the full message. Any attached file appears below the message and opens directly from the feed. Athletes outside the audience you chose never see the post.

Tips for Coaches

  • Use All athletes for general updates. Race reminders, schedule changes, and motivational messages reach your whole roster, including athletes you onboard later.

  • Use Custom for targeted announcements. If you coach groups preparing for different events, send each group only what concerns them so every athlete's feed stays focused.

  • Fine-tune within a group. After selecting a group, uncheck individual athletes who are on a different program or already have the information.

  • Search large groups. The Search athletes... field finds a specific person quickly when a group has many members.

  • Attach reference files. Race-day schedules, nutrition guides, or course maps attached to a post keep everything your athletes need in one place.

For Athletes

Your coach's announcements appear in your Announcements feed. Open any attached file straight from the post. If you expected an announcement and can't see it, ask your coach to check that you're included in its audience.
